I made a payment to top up my battle.net balance last night to buy war within. It has been over 12 hours and is still pending. I have to dig through multiple articles to even find where it says it can take anywhere from 24 hours to 72 hours. The payment window says it will take 10 minutes, longer in rare circumstances, and apparently I am a rare circumstance of someone not meant to buy Blizzard products. If I want to use my BNet balance alongside a credit card, I can’t mix sources like literally any other online retailer I have ever used.
I give up on buying anything from Blizzard. I understand the need for fraud protection, but providing this level of consideration to someone who was finally willing to give the company another chance after years away is not how you re-engage a playerbase.
Still have no idea how I cancel my Balance pending order, and sorry to the CM that has to deal with my rant, if you have any line to some sort of Product Owner feel free to forward this to them. If you have no further way to escalate this because nobody really cares about complaints like this, I’m sorry you’re as stuck working there as I am trying to give Blizzard my money.
PS My initial 5 attempts to submit this ticket returned 500 server errors, that’s strike like 5-10 on this whole interaction.
